Kitakami Canal Museum, Kitakami River. The structure is embedded in the embankment so that its exterior is almost completely hidden, with the surrounding park and a bicycle path continuing above the museum. The facility was designed to encompass an existing walkway along the embankment, which passes through the underground space.
