Scintillating Crystals: Ce3+:YAlO3 and Yb3+:Lu3Al5O12The growth and scintillation performance of single-crystal fibers of both Ce.:YAlO. and Yb.:Lu.Al.O. are described. The results demonstrate the ability of the micro-pulling-down technique to grow scintillator crystals in shapes suitable for device applications.
