A case study in train transportation exemplifies some of the issues discussed, and clearly shows that the development of autonomous intelligent cyber-physical systems without addressing their ethical behavior is incomplete.

The Social Impact of the Use of Cyber-Physical Systems in Manufacturing: An Initial Approachat contributing for this discussion by defining a questionnaire about the topic. In the future, this questionnaire is intended to be sent to companies to collect data from their C-level managers about the use of CPSs applied to manufacturing.
