Masonry building materials may be clay bricks, calcium silica bricks, aerated autoclaved concrete blocks or blocks of lightweight or normal concrete. Today, standardized masonry building materials are used.

These are the main focus of recycling. In addition, construction and demolition waste contains a number of other components in much smaller quantities.
