Optical-flow estimation while preserving its discontinuities: A variational approach,terative scheme to solve the associated non-linear Euler-Lagrange equations. The second solution introduces dual variables so that the minimization problem becomes a quadratic or a convex functional minimization problem. Promising experimental results on synthetic and real image sequences will illustrate the capabilities of this approach.

Modeling structured environments using robot vision,a structured scene as imaged by a single wide angle lens CCD camera while navigating is considered and evaluated. Finally, we discuss another navigation system that uses a stereo pair of fish-eye lenses, and discuss the merits of such a system over some of the other implementations for navigation and modeling of the scene.

A control theoretical approach to active vision,les has been designed and implemented. The system can operate at a speed of 7 Hz is fairly general settings. Experiments with the implemented system has shown that the performance of such a system is superior to the traditional 2D tracking systems.

Video annotation: Computers watching video,e is implicitly represented in a probabilistic manner. We believe the future of computer vision lies in the processing of video and that while much work has been devoted to the representation and manipulation of static images, we are far behind in developing tools for considering action.
