Improving Perfect Parallelismrs. We show that there are memory-bound problems for which the runtime can be reduced by the forced parallelization of individual tasks across a small number of cores. Specific examples include solving differential equations, performing sparse matrix–vector multiplications, and sorting integer keys.

Numerical Treatment of a Cross-Diffusion Model of Biofilm Exposure to Antimicrobialsedium degeneracy, (ii) super-diffusion singularity, (iii) nonlinear cross-diffusion. The scheme is based on a Finite Volume discretization in space and semi-implicit, non-local time integration. The resulting discretized system is implemented in Fortran and parallelized with OpenMP. The numerical method is validated in a simulation study.

Alexander Alperovich,Alex Druinsky,Sivan ToledoA general concept of aggregation on bounded posets is introduced and discussed. Up to general results, several particular results due to E.E. Kerre and his research group are recalled in the light of our approach. A special attention is paid to triangular norms on bounded posets.
