There are planar graphs almost as good as the complete graphs and as short as minimum spanning treemplete Euclidean graph on . within the factor ., and it has length bounded by 2.+1 times the length of a minimum Euclidean spanning tree on .. PRAM algorithms for identifying polygon similarity,r computing the least lexicographic rotation of a circular string (of length .) over a fixed alphabet is presented here. The logarithmic running time is achieved by using .(./.) processors and its space complexity is linear. A second algorithm for unbounded alphabets requires .(.) units of time, uses .(./.) processors.

A fast algorithm to decide on simple grammars equivalence,e description of the compared grammars, and exponential if we only take the last parameter into account. From this algorithm, we deduce an optimal upper bound of the number of parallel derivations to be applied to decide on equivalence.

Improved bounds on the size of separators of toroidal graphs, than 2/3 times the size of the original graph by deleting no more than √18 √n vertices [2]. The paper improves the constant before √n in the above theorem to √12 by using the structure . and gives a lower bound on the optimal constant that can replace √12.

A framework for parallel graph algorithm design,We describe a graph search technique called open ear decomposition and its applicability in the design of algorithms for several connectivity problems on undirected graphs. All of these algorithms have optimal or efficient parallel and sequential implementations.
