Darcy flow in porous media: Cellular automata simulations,e mobility of the fluids and by a stochastic parameter, stirs the fluids and determines the flow..The results obtained so far suggest that work on more realistic situations is particularly promising along the lines of the DLA automaton.

Hydrodynamic behaviour of the Lattice Boltzmann Equation,en Hydrodynamic and non-hydrodynamic variables arises. The effect of the discreteness of the lattice is discussed in the case of a simple deterministic Lattice Boltzmann Equation having a macroscopic diffusive behaviour.

Introduction,urpassed..This symposium has not, of course, given the final definition of the niche for the application of the lattice gas and lattice Boltzmann methods as numerical tools. Its goal was, by bringing together experts from the different fields, to bring about a discussion of the relative value of the different techniques.
