The chapter ends with the investigation of the functionalized surfaces with different concentrations of generated functional groups and comparison between performances of applied functionalized platforms.

Biochips Fabrication and Surface Characterization,gated. Proposed platforms from both categories of treated and untreated, then, were analyzed by XPS analysis to study surface chemistry of the fabricated bioreceptors. This chapter has also discussed the correlation of obtained data from each characterization technique to another in a very comprehensive manner.

Application of Biochips in Dengue Virus Detection,valuated in regards to essential parameters such as sensitivity, specificity, limit of detection and accuracy. Furthermore, involvement of the key forces such as ionic attraction, hydrophobic interaction and hydrogen bonding in analyte-surface interaction has been investigated with a major emphasis on surface properties of the developed biochips.
