Enforcing Linear Dynamics Through the Addition of Nonlinearity,linear normal modes theory to derive simple rules, yet applicable to real structures, for the compensation of nonlinear effects. The developments are illustrated using numerical experiments on a cantilever beam possessing a geometrically nonlinear boundary condition.

Shock Response of an Antenna Structure Considering Geometric Nonlinearity,the linear system obtained from time integration and approximate methods such as Absolute Method, Naval Research Method, and Shock Response Spectrum Method (SRS) are compared to the nonlinear ones. Moreover, these results are compared with the ones obtained from commercial Finite Element software.
