Multilevel interface to a distributed database system,ystem provides interaction with the database using natural language, general formal language and a target formal language. Issues of syntactic analyses, semantic analyses, knowledge representation, query interpretation and generation of query in a formal query language are discussed in the paper.

On the representation of continuous causal relationships,countered in many applications, particularly in equipment/ instrument diagnostic applications. This paper demonstrates that causation probabilities for continuous causal relationships can be derived based on classical statistical theory and Bayesian probability theory.
