Vestibulocochlear Nerve Lesions,nce and eye movements. As mentioned in the previous chapter, when you focus on something in front of you, and then turn your head, your eyes slowly move opposite your head rotation. This is the slow phase of nystagmus, which is under control of the vestibular system.
