Introduction on Measuring Spinal Cord Injury,t for SCI people in the early post-acute phase for a long-term context. Differences are described. Internationally, researchers and clinicians are going to promote evidence-based recommendations for measuring SCI. Specific projects for rehabilitation and other specifics for the SCI population are presented.

Research Perspectives and Considerations in Assessing Spinal Cord Injury Population,ding an international consensus in this area will ensure an improvement in the quality of care, rehabilitation, and health care systems’ efficiency. In addition, using the same outcome measures at the international level can help to have comparable data and identify evidence-based best practices.

Measuring Neurological Status in Spinal Cord Injury,d in this systematic review. Among these, 28 papers were considered for this chapter. Results show 19 assessment tools that evaluate the neurological area in persons with SCI. The most common assessment tools are the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) and the Spinal Cord Injury Spasticity Evaluation Tool (SCI-SET).
