Characterization of Magnetism in Gold Nanoparticles,. Whereas some of the properties are well understood, such as the optical ones, the magnetic properties are much more mysterious. This chapter is devoted to the magnetic characterization of nanoparticulate gold samples, using a variety of techniques.
