Tracing the Roots of the Best-Loved Self,b’s idea to its original source and found like-concepts. This chapter lays the foundation for the “best-loved self” narratives crafted by members of the Faculty Academy, a group of professors initially from five regional universities who have met regularly to advance their scholarship and career trajectories since 2002.
