Modifications to the Basic Approach,in idealized circumstances. However, we rejected this approach in favour of an account based upon what an individual . values. We must therefore exclude problem cases, if we are to exclude them at all, by means of additional conditions which must be met if something valued by a person is to count as having value for that person.

Overview,it is for something to be good for a person. Though the . questions about what sorts of things make a person’s life go well for them are important, the prime task we set our-selves was to answer the . questions: what is it about those things that makes them good for people.
