Isolation of Chromoplasts and Suborganellar Compartments from Tomato and Bell Pepper Fruitugations. It yields high purity organelles suitable for proteome analyses. Enzymatic and microscopy assays are summarized to assess purity and intactness. A method is also described for subfractionation of pepper chromoplast lipoprotein structures.

Isolation of Autolysosomes from Tobacco BY-2 Cellses. It contains acid phosphatase, vacuolar H.-ATPase, and protease activity. Electron micrographs show that the fraction contains partially degraded cytoplasm seen in autolysosomes before isolation although an autolysosome structure is only partially preserved.
