The Solar Maximum Mission the gamma ray region of the electromagnetic spectrum. A seventh instrument has monitored the solar constant. This review outlines the main objectives of the mission and samples the interesting data sets analysed so far.

Status of the Fireball Concept in Theory and Experimentnatural place in any quantum field theory while any multiperipheral type model when applied to accelerator experiments needs such objects. In general fireball concept seems to have a far reaching support both in theory and experiment.

Ultraheavy Cosmic Rays — HEAO-3 ResultsI have been invited to report on results from the experiment on HEAO-3 which was designed to measure the elemental composition of the Ultraheavy (UH) cosmic rays, i. e., nuclei with atomic number (or nuclear charge, Z) greater than 30. Before I do that, I want to take a few minutes to remind you why we designed this experiment.
