Reflections on Inverse Projection: Its Origins, Development, Extensions, and Relation to Forecastiner than one could reasonably expect. Inverse Projection (W) certainly falls in this second category. In this note, I will briefly describe the origin and early development of the idea, then discuss some recent advances, and conclude by suggesting that a related approach may be useful for Third World populations.
