Theory of Optical Sensing in Aerosol Polydispersed Systems,ese relations lead, as a rule, to integral equations of the first kind in studies of microstructures of atmospheric aerosols by the methods of optical sounding. The equations are one-dimensional if sphericity of the particles is assumed.

Methods for Inverting Polarization Data. The Theory of Bistatic Lidars,dis-persed systems of particles. The determination of the matrix elements can be based on measurements with laser nephelometers and bistatic lidars. The polarization nephelometers allow one to make in situ measurements, while the use of bistatic lidars makes possible remote studies of the atmosphere.
