Fundamentals of Kinematics,grees-of-freedom (DOF), types of motion, links, joints, and kinematic chains. Section 2.1 deals with the DOF of mechanisms. Types of motion are introduced in Section 2.2 while links, joints, and kinematic chains are presented in Section 2.3. The final section, Section 2.4, is concerned with the determination of DOF of mechanisms.
