The Definition of a Reduced CSF Absorption Syndrome: Clinical and Experimental Studieshe available evidence it was argued that the rise in intracranial pressure is secondary to an increase in CSF volume as a result of impaired CSF absorption (2). The present study reports some clinical observations on CSF circulation in patients with benign intracranial hypertension and experimental attempts to determine the cause of the condition.

CSF Dynamics: A Mathematical Approachseveral factors (elasticity of the vascular bed, CSF flow, sagittal sinus venous pressure (SSVP), vasomotor tone), which act together and cannot be isolated. Since 1969 (1,2) we have tried to study the above factors in a synthetic way and to elaborate a mathematical model for CSF dynamics.
