Computational Experiments,es is high due to minimum batch sizes of 250 tons and 500 tons at the CC and the HSM, respectively, a limit of up to 35 steel grades can be produced on both casters per day. Throughout the experiments, a short-term planning horizon of 28 days was considered. The plant operated 7 days per week and 24 hours per day.

Conclusion,ies that only cover the MS to the continuous casting stage or from the HSM and further processing stages. However, most integrated steel mills do not fully exploit the cost savings opportunities offered by improved connection between stages, especially between the continuous casting and hot rolling stages.
