Effects of Streamwise Curvature Variations on G?rtler Vorticese G?rtler vortices move outside of the boundary layer; no discrete eigenvalue of G?rtler instability is found on a wall with zero curvature. In this case the discrete eigenvalues merge into a continuous spectrum.

The Inviscid Stability of Supersonic Flow Past Axisymmetric Bodies presented for a freestream Mach number of 3.8. In particular, a new inviscid mode of instability is seen to occur in certain regimes, and this is shown to be related to a viscous mode found by Duck and Hall (1988).

On the Continuous Spectra of the Compressible Boundary Layer Stability Equations and one incompressible branch cuts. The compressible branch cuts are given as solutions of third order polynomials. Computations are made for a range of Reynolds and Mach numbers, and also for several streamwise wavenumbers.

The solution for the amplitude of the most critical disturbance indicates that the disturbance spreads out as the slow time τ increases and at the center it grows exponentially; after an initial decrease due to a τ. factor.
