In Search of an Effective Model of the ‘Flipped Classroom’ in Japanducted on which models are more effective for enhancing students’ motivation and encouraging them to take control of their learning. Formative Evaluation of Hong Kong’s First Open Textbooks the textbooks developed for the project. The evaluation was carried out with the aim of improving the open textbooks being produced. This paper reports the results of the formative evaluation which involved two questionnaires, one for the teachers and the other for the students.
