Circadian Sensitivity Changes in the Median Eyes of the North African Scorpion, Androctonus australif this circadian periodicity can be synchronized exogenously by light-darkness cycles. Some observations have shown, that the two median eyes can influence their adaptation state mutually. Histological investigations have made it probable that these circadian sensitivity changes base on pigment migration within the visual cells.
