A Chemical Model to Describe Nutrient Dynamics in Lakesdescription of the model equations is given, and results of two calculations are discussed. These two calculations show the importance of total system modelling (as is done with this chemical model) and the effect of equilibrium processes on nutrient behaviour.

The force and duration of winds may be a key descriptor for explaining unexpected peaks in nutrient concentration.
