Technology speed is a big challenge for all companies, especially when customers need changes fast and over-engineering looms large.

Since then all schoolbooks examples are S shaped. But reality is different. We often have a dip in sales after a first take-off that kills many small companies.

This is contradictory to schoolbook presentations where the advantages of pioneers are overstressed. Most market leaders go for big markets, make innovations in small steps and build up barriers through brands, patents, copyrights and business architecture.
