Also, it is obvious that the glycogen has a predilection to certain specific “sensitive” sites, a fact that could, perhaps, be used to advantage in clinical practice. https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-87295-2consists of main (B) chains and side (A) chains with .-1→4-glucosidie linkages between the glucose molecules except at the points of origin of the side chains where the linkage is an .-1→6-glucosidic one (see e.g. Manners, 1968). It is readily hydrolysed in liver to glucose to maintain blood levels
