Asymptotics Involving Magnetic Potential,ussions. As we will see, the introduction of the magnetic field facilitates the asymptotic analysis a great deal. The presence of the magnetic field allows us to derive an expression for the velocity of vortices that we were unable to obtain in the pure G-L case.

Thin Plate/Film G-L Models,eoretically, the limit would yield the G-L superconductivity model for an ideal 2-d plate/film. Naturally, it is very interesting to see if this 2-d plate/film model has anything to do with the 2-d G-L system. The conclusion is, it depends on which 3-d model we start from.

In this chapter, however, we discuss the a posteriori error analysis in the numerical analysis of the two-d G-L system that is more interesting from the numerical analysis point of view. We discuss both the Galerkin method and the finite element method.
