Genomics of Temperate Fruit Trees,arrays, among others, ready to be applied in variability studies, in breeding programs, and in general in the better understanding of the genetics behind agricultural important traits in these species. Genomics of Tropical Fruit Tree Crops,ment of complex family structures for recombination mapping and for recurrent selection. A review of the literature on molecular markers development and new techniques for increasing single-nucleotide polymorphic markers is discussed. The development of marker-assisted breeding for these tropical tree crops is also discussed.

Coconut, Date, and Oil Palm Genomics, to a lesser extent, develop quantitative trait loci (QTL). Both date palm and oil palm have recently had their genomes sequenced. The application of genomic tools to these palm species will result in enormous advances in the genetic improvement of all three crops.
