Positivism, F-twist, and Robust-Satisficinge term, “subdural hydroma” was first proposed by Dandy (1940). But the terms, subdural hematoma, hygroma, hydroma, effusion and fluid collection have been sometimes confusingly used to indicate the same or different conditions of an abnormal collection of fluid in the subdural space.
