Investigating Cell-ECM Interactions and ECM Synthesis in Three-Dimensional Hydrogelsigations have centered on quantifying these processes in 3D gel microenvironments. Herein, we provide methods to characterize the location and patterns of ECM and cell-ECM interactions using immunofluorescence and collect cell lysate for analysis via immunoblotting or ELISA.

Modulation of Neural Stem Cell Expressed Extracellular Matrix (ECM) by Targeting Glycosyltransferaseee common glycan motifs present on ECM glycoproteins of the CNS. Furthermore, we outline a protocol on how to transfect neural stem cells with expression plasmids coding for individual glycosyltransferases. This is a means to modify the glycosylation of cell surface and ECM proteins and thus study the effects of protein glycosylation.
