The photography operation of each mission was also largely successful. Resolution of some of the photographs was as fine as 1 meter (3.28 feet).

The photograph was taken after its third and final sortie carrying David Scott and Jim Irwin on their exploration of the Hadley Rille site at the foot of the Apennines Mountains on the moon (Fig. 10.1).
