Design of an Experimental Distributed Real-Time Kerneldule. The lower module has the Scheduler at the bottom and time and interrupt handling, task state managing, and input/output management as higher layers. The higher module consists of task synchronization and communication, high memory management, and task management layers.

Uniprocessor-Dependent Task Schedulingeview basic scheduling algorithms for aperiodic tasks with deadlines and with precedence relationship between them but they do not share resources. We then revise protocols to solve the priority inversion problem when tasks share resources, in the second part of the chapter.

Also, balancing the load across the nodes of a DRTS improves performance. We review the main issues in a DRTs which are models, distributed real-time operating systems and the middleware and the real-time network in this chapter.
