The British Commonwealth and Empiren with respect to the unknown T, z being replaced by the interpolating spline. Convergence properties of the solution to the true parameter function, as the measurement points become dense, are proved. A numerical example and an application to an underground aquifer are reported.

https://doi.org/10.1057/9780230270831ptimal locations of the controllers have been determined using a MGA. The gradients can be calculated analytically or numerically. To illustrate this point, the gradients have been analytically computed for the case of the allocation of one controller in a diffusion process.

Optimal location of sensors for linear stochastic distributed parameter systems,he solution of this problem in two steps:.Different examples are studied and numerical results, obtained via a modified gradient algorithm, are given. The effects of system parameters changes and noise statistics are discussed.
