Introduction to π-Electron Materialsing all such types of set has been solved (by Ronse, Hall, Ma, and the authors) for 2D and 3D Cartesian grids, and for 2D hexagonal and 3D face-centered cubic grids. Here we solve this problem for a 4D Cartesian grid, in the case where 80-adjacency is used on 1’s and 8-adjacency on 0’s.

Topological Quadrangulations of Closed Triangulated Surfaces Using the Reeb Graphts about topological classification of surfaces and Morse theory. In order to compute a canonical set of generators, a Reeb graph is constructed on the surface using Dijkstra’s algorithm. Some results are shown on different surfaces.
