Forschungsfragen und Zielsetzungure and time on the quality of the formed parts was studied. The most important result of the study is the demonstration that very short times over which the forming hydrostatic pressure is applied, of the order of few seconds,lead to less uneven thickness distribution and less fiber wash.

A Novel Tool to Determine the Optimum Fabrication Parameters of Thermoplastic CFRP Laminates plies should be kept open to vacuum as long as possible. Furthermore, from the shape of the not fully compacted area in the centre of the produced laminates it could be concluded, that the flow in a direction transverse to the fibre at the surface of the different plies controls the consolidation process.
