Analysis of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) Plastics by Infrared Spectroscopyspectroscopy, however, allows a rapid method for comparing commercial resins. In addition, infrared calibration curves are extremely useful in analyzing the composition of ABS plastics. Analyses based on this technique provide information on which predictions about the physical properties of the molded plastic can be made.
