Immunology of the Nose and Paranasal Sinusesgic rhinitis. Complex idiopathic responses to self or unknown antigens can result in autoimmune diseases such as granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Deficiencies of the immune response can predispose patients to sinonasal infections and inflammation. This chapter will provide an overview of the immune system’s involvement in these conditions.

Paediatric Rhinosinusitise common problems in the paediatric age group. The assessment and management of both domains will be addressed within this chapter. The diagnosis and management of children with CRS is challenging due to the frequency of nasal symptoms in this population and similarity of presentation with allergic rhinitis and adenoid hypertrophy.
