Mechanics Using Integral Principles,obi equations are derived as yet another alternative to obtaining the equations of motion. This piece of physics leads to a way of obtaining useful conserved quantities. Examples of the Hamilton-Jacobi equations are given and a new insight in the propagation of light is acquired, which leads to an understanding of the wave-particle duality.

Special Relativity Theory,les are expounded. An accelerated system is analysed, which shows the concept of an ‘event horizon’. Electromagnetic theory in the context of relativity theory and its relation to Maxwell’s equations the continuity equation is treated. A number of examples are given, one of which is the resulting solution for light waves.

A long section on quantum measurement is presented in order to understand better how different quantum mechanics is from classical mechanics. This culminates in a discussion of the violation of the Bell inequalities.
