Astronomy and Astrophysics Libraryrated groups, heterocyclic systems, and several functional groups are reported in the literature. Halogen, cyano groups, oxygen, or nitrogen functions have been introduced in tetraorganotin compounds. The symmetric tetraorganotin compounds compiled in Tables 56–60 are prepared by methods explained in the following scheme.

Germanium,rganozinc compounds, and Wurtz-type systems with aryl halide and sodium powder. More recently organolithium and triorganoaluminum compounds are employed for technical reasons or where the older methods were unsuccessful.
