Electron and Photon Collisions with AtomsThe theoretical methods used to analyze electron and photon collisions with atoms are reviewed. First the theory of electron-atom collisions is discussed, beginning with elastic scattering and excitation, and followed by electron impact ionization. A survey is then given of the theory of atomic photoionization.
