Technical Conception of an Anaesthesia System with Measurement and Semiautomated Dosage of Gases andof respiratory gas and anaesthetic vapours exceeds the amount consumed by the patient. The consumption could be estimated by exact measurement of the concentration differences between inspiratory and expiratory gases and vapours. However, this would be difficult to measure.
