In 1984 a forced CVI (F-CVI) technique was demonstrated by Professor Lackey’s group [6] at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA. The commercialisation of the I-CVI technique for ceramic-matrix composites was first carried out at Societe Europeenne de Propulsion (SEP), France and at Du Pont, USA.
