Commutative Automata Networks,ivity and different forms of locality of update functions; one main conclusion is that globally commutative networks have strong dynamical properties, while locally commutative networks are much less constrained. We also give a complete classification of all globally commutative Boolean networks.

Die DDR und die europ?ische Gemeinschaftture claiming that there does not exist such a sensitive cellular automaton, that would have both the right and the left pointwise Lyapunov exponents taking the value zero, for each configuration. In this paper we prove this conjecture false by constructing such a cellular automaton, using aperiodic, complete Turing machines as a building block.

Lastenausgleich zur Kriegsfolgenbew?ltigungrge to desired configurations, as self-stability implies the ability to recover from temporary malfunctions in transitions or states. In this paper, we show that three typical problems in distributed computing, namely, solving a maze, distance-2 coloring, and spanning tree construction, can be solved with self-stable gellular automata.
