Theology in an Exegetical Context: Bucer on Ephesians 1:3–6 and the Doctrine of Electionlvin (and other Protestant or evangelical exegetes). Yet in his attention to Paul’s letter as a theological compendium, and in his effort to pattern his own lectures as the same, Bucer’s treatment does have a distinctive character, and the method and purpose of his theology is distinctively that of biblical humanism.
