Biomedical Imaging and Computational Modeling in Cardiovascular Disease: Patient-Specific Applicatie due to physical or ethical constraints. The objective of this chapter is to present two applications of patient-specific simulations for heart valves: In Application 1, a coupled 3D-1D of a mechanical heart valve is shown. In application 2, a structural patient-specific study for percutaneous valve implantations is presented.
