Korruptionsbek?mpfung vermittelniderably lower than that of bone (Yamada 1973). Thus, the dura may shift the neutral fiber during bending of the wall if bending is inversely convex (tensile strains on the inner surface), while the opposite effect may be produced by the epicranial aponeurosis on the outside. Neither structure influences the compressive properties of the wall.
