Surface Changes in Relation to Cytokinesis and Other Stages During the Cell Cycle,ergoing cellularization..During the cell cycle of Lettre cells, membrane potential remains virtually constant, despite an increase in the amount of Na./K.-ATPase on which it is dependent. This is consistent with the view that changes in transmembrane signalling do not underlie the progression of continuously-dividing cells through the cell cycle.
